Since the pandemic, companies involved in international operations have realized that, in order to remain competitive, it is necessary to adapt to the possible restrictions to global mobility and ensure the continuity of the so-called “virtual workforce” through new remote and/or outsourced employment arrangements.
Besides traditional global mobility schemes, the so-called “international remote working” (i.e. remote work programs via Internet that enable the company to accommodate the growing demand for flexibility while offering the opportunity to recruit professionals from around the world to fill various corporate positions) is becoming increasingly popular. This strategy can also offer substantial economic benefits in reducing the costs associated with global mobilty.
However, the use of intra-company secondments by multinational enterprises and secondments in the framework of a provision of services remains unaffected.
Global mobility, whether in digital form through international remote work or in traditional form through secondment, requires strategic planning and timely contractual, tax and social security regulations, considering that any omissions or errors may result in administrative and – in the most serious cases – penal sanctions.
It is therefore necessary for companies involved in international operations to prioritize the planning, regulation and management of multi-jurisdictional work performed by their remote or seconded employees.
The international seminar is dedicated to HR Directors and CFOs and aims to illustrate, from a comparative perspective, the aspects, critical issues and formalities of a contractual, tax and social security nature related to the relocation of employees by means of international remote working and/or secondment in the EU and non-EU context.
The seminar will discuss the EU rules that have harmonized national regulations, as well as the peculiarities of the domestic disciplines of Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, the Netherlands and Germany, as well as the United Kingdom, Mexico and China, non-EU countries with high rates of outsourced workers. The detailed program of talks will be available soon.
The seminar is organized by Bacciardi Partners in collaboration with CELIA Alliance, the international network which brings together professional firms specialized in cross-border assignments of personnel and of which Bacciardi Partners has been a member for years. The speakers are members of the network with long and established experience in labor, tax, social security and payroll management assistance in global mobility.
The event is held in partnership with TRAVEL FOR BUSINESS, PRAXI, Mexico’s Chamber of Commerce in Italy .
The seminar will be in English and will have an easy-to-understand practical focus.
Participation is free of charge. Places are limited and reservable by filling out the form below.
